This week

.....I was annoyed by the fact that since I have bought my Kindle there have been many books that are unavailable to download. The books I have most desperately wanted have been 'unavailable in the ebook format' and I have been told that I should 'click here to inform the publisher that I would like to read the book on my kindle'

This weekend I decided that I no longer wanted to play by the rules of the publishers who were trying to gouge me price wise for an ebook or just deny me completely so that they sell more hardback copies. So i did some minor looking on the web. Previously I've had no luck, but this time I found four books that I have been wanting to read for months now in pdf version. I was able to download and have readable copies of all four books on my Kindle.

Good job guys. Instead of having a client who was willing and happy to buy your books, you restricted the availability or increased the price to ridiculous amounts so that she found a cheaper, more readily accessible option. Smart move. Really. How long do you think it will take before most ebook readers are downloading free copies instead of paying you for one? Maybe you should ask the record companies what they think. Re-think your ebook strategy. Now.

On the brighter side I've finished two of the four books I've downloaded and am as happy as a clam.

  3. I read crappy anita books that still make me happy because of all the characters. I can't help but still enjoy them. But I also downloaded Archangel which you told me to read which I will probably start on next. So really I've got nothing for you.
