Happy Happy

A year ago today I was heading to Morocco for G Unit's birthday and to get us out of dodge. This year instead of heat, ramadan and bureaucracy the agenda comprises of sleeping in, having a leisurely breakfast, some shopping, cooler overcast weather, and dinner at La Degustation Boheme Bourgeoise (the food part never changes). I think it's safe to say that during our year in the stable Czech Republic G Unit has seen enough of me to possibly be sick of me. I hope that is a good thing.

So Happy Birthday to my amazing husband who's support have made all our traveling adventures possible. Here's to year three abroad. I love you.

I don't know if I can think of a better way to celebrate my mom's birthday. I just wish I was with her to help drink the wine! Happy Birthday Mom! I hope you know how much I love you. You're amazing. Enjoy your day.

What a difference a year makes

Last year on this day Kept Man and I flew to Marrakech for the first time. I was nervous, scared, unsure and uneasy.

And it was Kept Man's birthday.

This year on the same day I am again flying into Marrakech but for the last time. I'm coming to officially say goodbye, collect our things, my husband and move our lives out of Morocco and into the Czech Republic.

This year Kept Man and I will celebrate his birthday in better spirits. At a restaurant we've been trying to eat at for the past year even though it is around the corner from our apartment. This is going to be a better year. Things are settling down.

So Happy Birthday Garren! I hope that this year provides you with the opportunities you want and that we're together so much you're practically sick of me. See you in a few hours birthday boy.

Happy 28th Birthday baby sister!

I cannot believe I was writing 28 for your bday this year. In my head you're maybe 20. Before it was 16 so you've jumped a few years but still, no where near 28. Course in my head I'm not freaking 30 in two days either.

I'm sorry I'm not there to celebrate with you, but I'm there in spirit. Enjoy your day, or hell, week. I feel like as we get older we should take MORE time to celebrate birthdays. And if you're in at Wood Tavern for cocktails to celebrate have a sip for me and tell them I say hello.

Mom's birthday celebration = FANTASTIC

Gary Danko is FAAAABULOOOOUUUS!!!!

I'm drunk. Best night ever. Food amazing. Mom totally happy. (It's the restaurant my dad worked at when they lived in SF aka Chez Michel). I got a free purse holder (thanks to Garren's inside tip) and we got nice cocktail and amuse bouche. SOO good. If you're willing to spend some money for a nice occasion. So worth it. Staff is AMAZING!!!

Will have to go again prior to moving to Morocco (if it happens). 

Isn't today done yet?

Today is dragging. It's just one of those days where a minute feels like an hour and the 2 hours until work is over feels like an eternity.

I'm bored. I want work to be over and it just isn't. Plus I'm looking forward to after work because:

1. It's the weekend
2. We're going to dinner at Gary Danko's for mom's birthday. So excited
3. The season finale of Battlestar Galactica will be waiting for me at home. Hwee!

So really. Is this work day over yet?
